2. The short version

  • llmseo.app uses no cookies. For traffic statistics we use Plausible, a cookieless, anonymous analytics service (see section 4).
  • We only process personal data when you run the visibility check (URL, email address, IP address) or contact us.
  • Stored data is kept until you ask us to delete it — there is no automatic deletion in the current version.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Netlify (Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA). When you visit the site, Netlify processes technically necessary connection data (IP address, timestamp, requested page) in server logs. Our serverless functions and database (Netlify Database, running on Neon) operate in the Frankfurt (EU) region. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses.

4. Web analytics with Plausible

For anonymous traffic statistics we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service by Plausible Insights OÜ (Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia, EU). Plausible uses no cookies and stores no personal data. Your IP address and user agent are only processed transiently to derive a daily-changing, irreversible hash — this allows counting visits without identifying you as a person; only aggregated statistics are stored. All processing takes place on servers in the EU. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymous statistics to improve the service). See the Plausible data policy for details.

5. The visibility check

When you check a URL, we process the following data:

  • The URL you enter and its page content: The page is fetched once and analysed. For this we use Firecrawl (scraping the page content) and the Anthropic API (detecting the brand name and generating the prompts). Both providers are based in the USA; only publicly available page content is transmitted.
  • AI queries: The prompts you confirm are sent to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude via DataForSEO. Only the prompts are transmitted — no data about you as a person.
  • Email address: Because the check runs in the background, we email you a link to your results (sent via Resend, EU region). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performing the check you requested).
  • IP address: To prevent abuse, we limit the number of checks per IP address per day. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (protection against abuse and cost control).
  • Result pages: Each result lives at a non-guessable link and is excluded from search engines (noindex).
  • Website screenshot for link previews: During the scrape, Firecrawl also captures a screenshot of the publicly accessible page. We store it with the scan (Netlify — see section 3) and use it solely to render a preview image when a results link is shared (e.g. on LinkedIn or in a messenger). It contains no data about you as a person and is kept until you request deletion.

6. Contact form

When you request a consultation via the contact form, we process the data you provide: name, email address, company and phone number — plus, if you arrive from a results page, the link to your check results so we can refer to them in the conversation. Submissions are transmitted and stored via Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc., USA — see section 3). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract, taken at your request). We keep your request until it has been handled or you ask us to delete it.

7. Newsletter (optional)

Only if you explicitly opt in during the check do we add your email address to our newsletter — with a confirmation email (double opt-in). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email or by writing to info@llmseo.app.

8. Automatic follow-up checks (optional)

On the results page we ask whether we may automatically run future new free checks for the domain you tested and email you the results at the address you provided for the check. Only if you agree do we store that decision with a timestamp and get back to you when a new check has run — no newsletter, no advertising. If you decline, we store that too (only so we don’t ask you again). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by emailing info@llmseo.app.

9. Recipients and international transfers

Service providers we use: Netlify (hosting, functions, database/Neon, contact form via Netlify Forms), Plausible (web analytics, EU), Firecrawl (page scraping), Anthropic (AI analysis), DataForSEO (AI engine queries), Resend (email delivery). Where providers are based in the USA, transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

10. Retention

We keep scan results, email addresses and related data until you request deletion. IP-based counters for abuse prevention cover one calendar day each. To request deletion, simply email info@llmseo.app.

11. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — the one responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schwerin, Germany.

12. Changes

We will update this policy when the service or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
